Now having actually seen a MacBook in the flesh, I must say, they're a bit bigger than I thought, and heavier - surprisingly so (then again, I am spoilt by my ThinkPad - it's an x40 and weighs 1.2kg - about half as much as the MacBook). I'm also not so convinced by the keyboard. Apparently you get used to it, but then once you've bought it what choice do you have?

I still want one though...

Wierd how everyone else has been making black laptops for ages

I was not aware that this was being trumpeted as an innovative feature.

daring multi-coloured iMacs

Actually they were pretty daring, for the time. Although they were also running OS 9 *spits* so you can't have everything.

Anyway look, I'm typing this on a very black ThinkPad but it looks so clunky compared to all that lovely MacBook svelteness. It's an irrational thing, okay? Some people buy Burton boards, others buy Neversummer or Winterstick. Deal with it.

newly-installed-with-tiger work computer CRASHING FOR THE 20TH TIME TODAY COS IT'S TOO BLEEDING CLEVER FOR ITS OWN GOOD.

You shouldn't anthropomorphise computers, it never helps. Speaking of which, have you tried repairing permissions?

Wierd how everyone else has been making black laptops for ages, and everyone goes 'Ooooh, look at apple with their shiny aluminium powerbooks and their daring multi-coloured iMacs'. And then somehow they can make a black computer and it's somehow clever and cool and apple-like? Rubbish. It would be better it the put a bit more effort in to stopping my newly-installed-with-tiger work computer CRASHING FOR THE 20TH TIME TODAY COS IT'S TOO BLEEDING CLEVER FOR ITS OWN GOOD.

(And no. My domain name isn't pointing anywhere yet ;)
